Tummy Tuck

Tummy Tuck

A Tummy Tuck operation removes hanging skin on your abdominal wall and the "pot belly" appearance caused by significant weight loss or pregnancies.

A Tummy Tuck is technically a panniculectomy/abdominoplasty; the excess skin is removed (panniculectomy) and the abdominal musculature is tightened (abdominoplasty). A Tummy Tuck is also referred to as an “Abdominal Wall Reconstruction.”

By tightening the muscles, your waistline is narrowed. Then excess skin is removed to fit your new body contours. The results of a Tummy Tuck, performed properly, are usually very pleasing. The abdomen is flat, the excess skin is gone and the body contours are impressive!

After a Tummy Tuck, you will be in the hospital for 1-3 days and usually be back on the job within 2-3 weeks. Most medical insurance will fund a Tummy Tuck if the procedure is medically necessary.
